Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Solène, I am from Reims by birth and have lived in Pourcy for 4 years now. I love nature, seeing it change with the seasons. I am also a fan of hiking and cycling and I like to travel around the Montagne de Reims.

But what fascinates me above all, and since I was little, are soaps and everything plant-related. I love learning the benefits of vegetable oils and butters, essential oils and plants, and above all, I love using this knowledge to make my soaps. You will no doubt have understood, I am a soap maker and creator of artisanal soap making Vine Bubbles !

Tell us about your journey!

After studying aesthetics and cosmetics, I worked for several years in a drugstore. All day long, I recommended products that did not suit me and did not correspond to the vision I had of cosmetics. For me, a cosmetic product must have a simple composition, environmentally friendly packaging and natural ingredients. So, I started to educate myself and learn on my own about the benefits of simple and natural ingredients. Then, I went further and began to formulate and create my own cosmetic products and more particularly my soaps.

After a while, I wanted to share everything I had learned with others, but I realized one essential thing: despite a lot of research, I was not sufficiently informed about all the regulations present around cosmetic products. So I decided to train and in March 2019, I joined the European University of Flavors and Scents of Forcalquier in order to pass the Professional Soapmaker Certification.

Once I had this certification and my knowledge was in-depth, I continued to formulate soaps, but this time not only for myself, but with the aim of creating my soap factory in order to share my know-how! Native of Champagne, and passionate about the richness of its territory, it was quite natural that I wanted, through my products, to put it in the spotlight. I therefore took the initiative of working with grapeseed oil which is present in my entire range of products and which contains enormous benefits for the skin.

Tell us what your links are with the Park!

The Park supports the soap factory through various actions. Indeed, I had the pleasure of participating in the report “The Residents have talent"

In addition to the Bulles de Vignes soap factory, I am also secretary of the artisan collective The Creators of the Vineyard and Elsewhere, which aims to highlight and highlight creators from the Parc de la Montagne in Reims and surrounding areas.

The Park is very active with the collective and regularly welcomes us on events or intervenes during events organized by the association. With Émilie Renoir-Sibler, Culture project manager within the Park, we also co-organize events to discover the hidden know-how of the region. It is thanks to this collaboration that the creators directory was born and we are repeating for a second consecutive year our creators’ market “ The Village of Creators ».

What is your favorite place in Montagne de Reims?

Complex question! But if I had to choose just one place, I would say Hautvillers. Its narrow streets steeped in history and the cradle of champagne, its magnificent view of the Marne and its forested hillsides... For me, it is a village that sums up the heritage of the Montagne de Reims quite well!
