Heritage restoration is a key issue. Very often, we understand the interest in preserving the largest monuments but we must not forget that heritage restoration also concerns more modest buildings. Because if no attention is paid to the subject, the risk is to soon have nothing but standardized and tasteless landscapes.

Concretely, preserving and restoring ancient heritage is essential for:

  • preserve a local heritage which risks disappearing permanently if we do not pay attention to it,
  • rrespect and preserve local particularities and architectures in order to avoid standardization of landscapes,
  • create employment and value at local and national level: crafts, tourism, commerce, accommodation, leisure, etc.
  • thus ensuring the influence of the territory from an architectural, historical, tourist and cultural point of view.

In the Park, it’s about giving a helping hand to communities and private owners to preserve and enhance the buildings and the characteristic elements contributing to the identity of the territory. 

Are concerned small vernacular built heritage (fountain, wash house, calvary, dovecote, kiosk, vineyard lodge, etc. excluding churches) and any construction representative of traditional local techniques or architecture (dwelling houses, public buildings, business premises, etc.).

The beneficiaries of the operation can be natural or legal persons who own property located in the territory of the Park, such as municipalities or communities of municipalities in the territory.

Amount of aid : 40% of the eligible base of the overall amount of work with a maximum of €5000
