The Montagne de Reims is home to an exceptional cultural heritage, which is an integral part of the Park project! Indeed, our teams are keen to share this heritage with all the players in the region, so that they can know its entire history and better put down roots there. To achieve this, the Park does everything it can to encourage learning and engagement for everyone. How ? We tell you everything here!

The Park’s missions

Since its creation, the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park has passionately ensured that it fulfills its various missions of preserving cultural heritage:

  • Inventories and studies of built and cultural heritage : religious heritage, vernacular heritage, ordinary built heritage, champagne houses, intangible heritage, culinary heritage, local know-how, etc.
  • Promoting residents and their know-how : create links, while participating in tourism and economic dynamism.
  • Promotion of built and cultural heritage : thanks to activities, exhibitions, booklets, guides…
  • Restoration of small heritage : help, advice and financial support for those involved.

Actions to promote our heritage

When it is necessary to take concrete action to highlight its heritage, the Park has no shortage of ideas: the proof with these different examples, as fascinating as they are useful !

  • The “Recipes from my territory” notebook : this delicious collection comes from a memory collection carried out by the Park, from its inhabitants and friends. On the menu: dozens of delicious local traditional dishes to cook up!
  • “The creators’ villages” events: these festive days give pride of place to the talent and know-how of artisans from the Montagne de Reims. A golden opportunity to meet them and discover unique creations…
  • The directory “Creators and artisans in my territory” : non-exhaustive and evolving, this precious digital tool lists the numerous creators and craftsmen of the Marne triangle. Enough to give visibility to their fabulous work!
  • The “Park Getaways” routes : these travel guides offer you itinerary suggestions to immerse you in the history of exceptional places in the Park. Captivating compasses, in a way!
  • The heritage envelope: the Park devotes part of its budget to municipalities and individuals who wish to rehabilitate their small built heritage. If your project matches our specifications, do not hesitate to send us your application!
  • Heritage inventories: an example? That of the lodges that dot the vineyards of our territory!

Nice partnerships

The Park loves working hand in hand with other stakeholders: there is always strength in unity to promote heritage!

To draw up an inventory of the small heritage of the Montagne de Reims, we collaborate, for example, with the Association for the industrial heritage of Champagne-Ardenne / Grand Est (APIC).

Among our other partnerships, we also support Creators of the Vineyard and Elsewhere : this group of artisans and producers aims to promote its crafts.
