The cultural approach of the Park

The cultural issues are structuring for the Park, because they are in continuous interaction with its various missions, such as land use planning or sustainable development.

However, the Park does not approach culture in the same way as other players in this sector. Indeed, the latter first segment culture into different sectors: music, painting, sculpture, etc. The Park offers an approach based on the issues of each territory. We then speak of " cultural channel »: the Park begins by developing its knowledge of a territory, then it restores and promotes this data to the general public, before finally being able to animate it and implement cultural actions.

Examples of Park actions

More concretely, how does the Park invest in culture? On the one hand, he launches programs itself, sometimes calling on other actors in the territory. On the other hand, he supports and supports the development of projects associations, artists, municipalities or even cultural spaces.

Here is a sample, among the dozens of exciting projects that have already seen the light of day:

  • The Art in the Forest trail : with several editions to its credit, this call for projects highlights every two years the ephemeral works of visual artists in the heart of the nature of the Park!
  • The Modest Trees show : in this theater of objects, the Volpinex company takes its audience on a journey through the mysteries of trees.
  • The Creators’ Villages : at each edition, you have an appointment with sublime designer markets, workshops or even events dedicated to local crafts!

Artist residencies

Since the dawn of time, art has touched the hearts and souls of people deep down, and led them to question the world around them. The Park knows it: that’s why we invite artists to our territory. To amaze us, enlighten us, and share good times with us.

But actually, where do these resident artists come from? From the world of performing arts (such as theater or circus) and visual arts most often, but also from architecture, literature, journalism and heritage. However, at the Parc, we love mixing different specialties: experimentation, transversality and multidisciplinarity are our key words!

More precisely, the residences in the Park are distinguished by the fact that they:

  • Consist of territory residences : this means that they include the participation of residents, and that their issues mix with those of the territory (for example its landscape or its history) or environmental issues.
  • Represent a observatory of contemporary creation : thanks to the transversality and multidisciplinarity encouraged by the Park, the richness of these residences is infinite!

The residence By the municipalities of the 4-Legged Devil, organized to commemorate the end of the Great War, is a wonderful example!

Key partnerships

Culture is above all a story of exchanges! It is therefore quite natural that the Park is surrounded by partners of the territory or gateway cities, to solicit their experience and expertise. Among them :

See you soon to experience lots of beautiful emotions together!
