Here is the third video in our series “Your Nature Helping Hands!”, this time dedicated to the ponds of the Montagne de Reims.
Come and dive into the world of ponds to discover all their secrets and the inhabitants who inhabit them. These environments are home to a rich and exceptional biodiversity that few people know about.
Discover the ambitious project of the commune of Rilly-la-Montagne which in 2023 made it possible to give a second youth to many ponds that needed it! Indeed, many ponds had filled up over the years and no longer allowed aquatic life to develop there.
Thanks to the mutual assistance between the Seine-Normandy Water Agency, the municipality and the Park, this project was able to come to fruition and be a success. The amphibians and aquatic invertebrates have found their ponds of yesteryear and continue their cycles without worrying about tomorrow!
