Organized by the Sacy Wild Orchids Association in partnership with the Park, a nature project was carried out on Saturday, March 8, to maintain the ten dry lawns and clearings, known for hosting a wide variety of orchid species.

Equipped with chainsaws and loppers, the association members and Park agents were able to cut down trees (mainly pines) that had fallen during the winter or were threatening to fall, cut back woody shoots and uproot brambles in order to limit the invasion of vegetation in these open areas.
All the felling products were exported to the undergrowth so as not to enrich these habitats which prefer nutrient-poor soils.
This friendly site was also an opportunity to observe the first orchid rosettes under a radiant sun!
