This year again, The Park will provide financial assistance several project leaders for the restoration of built heritage.
Rural municipalities, individuals and other private owners can submit their project throughout the year (depending on the available budget) in order to receive a boost of up to €5000.
The following are concerned: small vernacular built heritage (fountain, wash house, calvary, dovecote, kiosk, vineyard lodge… excluding churches) and all construction representative of traditional local architecture or techniques (residential houses, public buildings, business premises, etc.).
The beneficiaries of the operation may be individuals or legal entities who own property located in the territory of the Park, as well as municipalities or communities of municipalities in the territory.
Amount of aid: 40% of the eligible base of the total amount of the work with a maximum of €5000
The restoration of heritage is a key issue. We often understand the interest in preserving the greatest monuments, but we must not forget the more modest buildings.
These buildings constitute a local heritage, with its characteristics and particularities, which make up the identity of the territory. They contribute to its influence and attractiveness from an architectural, historical, tourist and cultural point of view.
But if we don't pay attention, we risk soon having nothing but uniform and tasteless landscapes.
